The XVIIth century saw the birth of the family property.From its origin to the years 2000, the estate has been run by different names like Noulens, Castex or Dulau, the inheritants being the daughters every time. Each new generation has however always been taught with the traditions and values initially set by the very ancestors of the property. From mother to daughter, and then to husband and children, everyone has always been conscious of the need to preserve their precious authentical know-how.

The Domaine de Lagajan is located in the lower Armagnac area, near Eauze, which is the main town. Historically, the Romans had in their time declared Eauze as the capital city of the province of Novempopulanie during their occupation of the Gaule. The people then were called Eluza and those were the first to import vineyards as well as know-how to produce wine.
